ICO Islamic Studies Activity book Grade 1 Part 1

At this level, students are introduced to Islam through the Shahaadah (Testimony of Faith). They learn the proper care of the Qur’aan and engage in memorization and recitation of selected surahs, from Surah at-Teen to Surah al-Humazah. Students are also introduced to the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

In addition, they learn the basics of cleanliness, including personal hygiene and ablution (wudoo’), as well as the correct performance of prayer (salaah). The course concludes with lessons on respect for parents and respect for the property of others.

The Student’s Textbook contains the lesson content, exercises, and activities. The Activity Book complements the textbook by providing additional activities related to the same lessons. These activities emphasize analysis, synthesis, and practical application rather than simple recall.
